BIMAS – Bangladesh Immigrants’ Association Italy brings together Bangladeshi citizens living in Italy, people of Bangladeshi origin and everyone who shares its goals.
Our mission
To inform, guide and support the Bangladeshi community in Italy, promoting participation, solidarity and dialogue with institutions and Italian society.
What we do
- Information in Italian, English and Bengali on documents, work, health, school and life in Italy.
- Guidance towards public offices, patronati, CAFs and qualified professionals.
- Cultural initiatives and gatherings, from 21 February to Pohela Boishakh.
- Attention to young people, women and families.
A community that counts
Almost 200,000 Bangladeshi citizens with residence permits live in Italy — the country’s fifth-largest foreign community — together with thousands of people of Bangladeshi origin who have become Italian citizens. BIMAS aims to be an informed and reliable voice for all of them.
