Rome launches its Council for Intercultural Coexistence, with BIMAS among the members

On 15 October 2026 the Permanent Council for Intercultural Coexistence of the Metropolitan City of Rome held its first session, in the presence of Mayor Roberto Gualtieri and metropolitan councillor Tiziana Biolghini.

Its 74 member bodies and associations include seven Bangladeshi organisations, BIMAS among them. The Council will be a permanent forum on health, housing, work, schools and services for the more than 680,000 foreign residents of Rome and its metropolitan area.
